About This Product

■Summary- When a liquid substance is applied to the surface of a solid substance, wetting occurs at the interface between the two, forming a liquid phase film on the solid surface.
- If the liquid phase film contains an adhesive substance, the liquid phase membrane will adhere to the solid substance at the interface due to the adhesive force.
・The lower the surface tension of the liquid phase, the easier it will wet the solid surface, but on the other hand, the thickness of the liquid phase film will be thinner, resulting in weaker adhesion.
・The purpose of this device is to measure the surface adhesion of a liquid phase film. By pulling a liquid phase film adhered to the surface of a solid substance at a constant speed in the direction of its thickness, the relationship between strain and stress in the film can be determined.
・From this relationship, it is possible to evaluate the adhesive strength and stress relaxation of a material from the maximum value of stress and the dependence of stress on pulling speed.

■Features/Ease of use-The measuring device itself is small and lightweight, so it can be easily moved and requires less space to install.
・Since the tensile speed and contact load can be set arbitrarily, it is possible to know their dependence trends.
・The diameter and tip shape of the contact can be selected according to the thickness and surface shape of the sample.
・A heating and cooling system is available to evaluate the temperature dependence of adhesive strength. (Optional)
-Measurement data is saved on a computer, and UBM data can be processed and plotted and tabulated using Excel.
