About This Product

■Features

- Degauss is a residual magnetism removal device that is connected in parallel between a DC power supply and an electromagnetic clutch/brake. - Used when electromagnetic clutches and brakes operate incompletely or slowly due to residual magnetism. It can be operated reliably by the action of reverse current. - When the DC voltage from the power supply is cut off, a slight DC reverse current is applied to the electromagnetic clutch/brake by the capacitor in the degauss to eliminate residual magnetism in the electromagnetic clutch/brake and disc. ・The optimal reverse current application time varies depending on the internal resistance and mechanism of the electromagnetic clutch/brake, but is approximately 0.1 to 0.5 seconds. With degauss, the optimum value is preset using a variable resistance knob. After that, there is no need to adjust the variable resistance knob unless the capacitor deteriorates. ・Degauss was developed for our electromagnetic clamp MDB type and electromagnetic disc brake GDN type, but it can also be used for other companies' electromagnetic clutches, brakes, and electromagnetic products as long as the internal resistance value is within the range of 10Ω to 100Ω. It can be used effectively.
