■Seat pad businessSince its production began in 1968, it has been praised for its high quality and excellent performance, and is currently produced globally at 10 locations in four countries, including Japan, and is installed in many car seats. ■Material variationsWe own the urethane material development technology in-house and handle everything from molecular structure design to product mass production. With our high technical capabilities and accumulated know-how, we offer a wide range of materials that meet the various needs of our customers.

■New material to reduce wobbleWe focused on the shaky behavior of the occupant's upper body that occurs when changing lanes or driving around corners. Based on advanced comfort evaluation theory that approaches human sensations and high-level behavior analysis, we have identified urethane properties that contribute to reducing wobble. We reviewed the molecular structure design and developed a new material that reduces instability. We verify its effectiveness through actual vehicle tests on the test course used in the development of tires and anti-vibration rubber, as well as through evaluation and analysis that makes full use of vibration equipment in the laboratory. Its performance has been highly praised by customers, and it has achieved a proven track record, being adopted one after another, especially in luxury cars.

■Products and manufacturing technologyArkem's unique innovative manufacturing technology, including in-house designed equipment, unique molding technology, and automation of various inspections and tasks, allows us to maintain the high performance demanded by our customers, including the high ride comfort of new materials, while keeping costs down.
