About This Product

The laser (tissue) blood flow meter OMEGAFLO is a device that can continuously measure tissue blood flow, tissue blood volume, and blood flow velocity in various areas such as the skin, gastric mucosa, brain surface, and intestinal tract. Unlike the hydrogen clearance method and the Xe clearance method, it can measure tissue blood flow non-invasively in living organisms, so it can be used in a wide range of applications from basic to clinical. OMEGAFLO uses a semiconductor laser with a wavelength that has little difference in absorption between oxygenated hemoglobin and deoxygenated hemoglobin. Using a standard probe, we measure microcirculatory blood flow approximately 1 mm below the surface. In addition, three types of blood flow parameters can be obtained: tissue blood flow, tissue blood volume, and blood flow velocity, making it possible to understand microcirculatory blood flow dynamics in detail. ◼︎Model description FLO-C1EL measures blood flow by directly irradiating laser light onto biological tissue under a microscope, and then receiving the scattered light from there with an optical probe through the microscope, or directly receiving the light externally without passing through the microscope. ◼︎Composition Includes external laser unit + dedicated probe ◼︎Notes - The measured waveform of the analog signal output from the rear panel can be recorded by connecting it to a pen recorder, but a separate data processing device is required to display and record the measured waveform on a computer. - Can be used with general data acquisition systems as long as the voltage matches.
