About This Product

Temperature fluctuations in optical properties are one of the challenges in resin lens design. For example, in collimators used in laser beam printers, etc., when the temperature of the lens increases, the refractive index decreases and the focal length increases. NALUX realizes a temperature-compensated optical system that utilizes the temperature dependence of the emission wavelength of a laser diode (LD) and the characteristics of a diffractive optical element. This optical system uses the characteristic that the oscillation wavelength becomes longer as the temperature of the LD increases, and the characteristic of the diffractive optical element that the longer the wavelength, the stronger the diffraction power becomes, suppressing focal length fluctuations due to temperature of the resin lens. . In this way, NALUX not only designs individual optical elements produced in-house, but also understands the entire product, including light sources, detectors, assembly, usage methods, etc., and optimizes the entire product by considering its characteristics. We believe that we can make better design proposals.
