About This Product

Flash-type LiDAR, which has no moving parts, is attracting attention as a spatial sensor for advanced autonomous driving systems (ADAS) in automobiles and industrial equipment. Flash-type LiDAR obtains three-dimensional information, including distance, by illuminating a surface with pulsed light and measuring the return time of the reflected light from each direction all at once. In this method, a surface irradiation with pulsed light is performed using an optical system that diffuses the laser using a microlens array. However, it is difficult to increase the divergence angle when diffusing light with a microlens array, and the field of view (FOV) The problem was that it was limited by the irradiation range. Nalux has created an ultra-wide-angle diffuser with a divergence angle of over 160° using a microlens array with a very large tangential angle and unique light extraction technology. In addition to the large divergence angle, it is also possible to optimize the irradiation intensity distribution by increasing the light intensity at the top hat and the outer periphery (area with a large emission angle). In addition to automotive applications such as surrounding environment recognition and driver monitoring systems (DMS), it is ideal as an ultra-wide-angle spatial sensor for a variety of applications such as industrial equipment, home appliances, and entertainment equipment.
