As an example of its performance, by using the latest image processing technology, we achieved a high recognition rate of 99.9% when reading characters on a vehicle inspection certificate with a background pattern, where conventional OCR could not improve reading accuracy. (Accuracy depends on the accuracy of the vehicle inspection image read by a scanner or multifunction device.)
