About This Product

A pendant lamp with a cast surface on the outside. Pendant lamps tend to get dusty, but a little bit of dust blends in with the texture of the cast surface so you don't have to worry about it. The interior finish is carved to reflect light beautifully. A pendant lamp that looks like the pleats of a skirt. The delicateness of fine pleats and the soft curved form. Designed to match antique and classic interiors. There are 3 sizes depending on the depth of the shade: long which is the deepest, flare which is medium, and flat which is the widest. The surface finish is a traditional brass coloring technique cultivated by Takaoka Casting, which gives it the appearance of an ancient excavated item.The black unevenness is different from general painting or plating, and is not uniform, but has a unique expression. It creates a warm, antique metal look. As you use it, the taste and color will deepen as it ages, and the color will settle into a deep color similar to that of cast brass. The black spots are colored with a mixture of pigments based on lacquer, and then, while applying heat, ``Ohaguro'' is rubbed in using a brush to create unevenness and expression. This is a coloring technique that has been handed down for a long time at Takaoka Casting, which has been making Buddhist utensils and statues for a long time.

■Compatible sealing

Square hook ceiling/Round hook ceiling Rosettes and embedded ceilings cannot be installed as is. Installation is possible if you use the "Panasonic Adapter Type 1", but please note that the sealing itself will not fit inside the cup.

■About aging

Since pendant lamps are rarely touched by hands compared to kitchen tools and tableware, there are no major changes, but the brass color becomes darker and changes in flavor over the years of use. Touching the inside will leave fingerprints on it, so please wear gloves when cleaning or replacing the bulb.
