About This Product

■Mice expressing red fluorescent protein

These mice express fresnoRFP, which emits red fluorescence, throughout the body. It can be used to isolate fluorescently labeled cells and as a donor for transplantation experiments.

■Uses IP-free fresnoRFP protein

Fluorescent proteins with various wavelengths and intensities have been developed and used, but many proteins require a license for use. At ATUM (Newark, CA, USA, https://www.atum.bio/), we have used synthetic biology techniques to establish a collection of genes encoding numerous fluorescent proteins. There are no ownership restrictions. fresnoRFP is one of the proteins that emits red fluorescence. To use this mouse, the purchaser does not need to obtain a license for the use of fluorescent proteins.

■fresnoRFP has the following fluorescence characteristics.

・Ex..max: 553 nm ・Em. max: 592 nm

■Price (excluding tax)

・Frozen embryos (50): 100,000 yen ・2 pairs of male and female: 340,000 yen ・Breeding license price: Academia price: 200,000 yen (no breeding/breeding restrictions at the purchasing facility), price for commercial companies: 200,000 yen (mating/breeding restrictions at the purchasing facility (up to 15 per year), exceeding the limit) (Additional cost for number of animals)
