About This Product

■Oxidative stress visualization mouse

The oxidative stress visualization mouse (Tg type OKD-Luc mouse) uses the OKD48 gene, which uses luciferase as a reporter to visualize cells with oxidative stress through luminescence.

■What is oxidative stress?

Oxidative stress is a situation in which intracellular oxidative reactions are accelerated due to the accumulation of free radicals such as active oxygen. This causes oxidative degeneration of biological components such as DNA, lipids and proteins, and impairment of cellular functions. Furthermore, these denatured biological components are thought to be a factor in diseases such as arteriosclerosis, diabetes, and rheumatism.
