■ Biological stress visualization mouseBiological stress visualization mouse (UMAI-Luc mouse) is a transgenic mouse carrying the UMAI-Luc gene that allows visualization of ATF4 translation induction using luciferase as a reporter.

■ Biological stress and ATF4Stress is thought to play an important role in various pathological conditions in humans, and living organisms respond to various types of stress using common signal pathways. This reaction is called integrated stress response (ISR), and the transcription factor Activating transcription factor 4 (ATF4) plays a central role in regulating the expression of downstream stress response genes. Stresses involved in this pathway include amino acid starvation, viral infection, endoplasmic reticulum stress, and oxidative stress.
