About This Product

TG Resource Bank® is a library of over 700 gene-disrupted mouse lines created using BSRC's variable gene trap technology. The variable gene trap method is an efficient method for producing genetically modified mice, invented by Professor Kenichi Yamamura of the Kumamoto University Bioresources Research and Support Center (our advisor) and colleagues. This is a method of randomly destroying .

Compared to conventional trapping methods, this method is characterized by the ability to destroy genes and the ability to insert human genes or mutations into the position of the destroyed gene, making it possible to develop human disease model animals and conduct detailed gene function analysis. This is a useful method. Using the variable gene trap method, we have constructed the TG Resource Bank®, a large-scale and comprehensive mouse gene-disrupted library.

・Heterozygous KO mice will be delivered approximately 3 months after placing your order.

■About providing TG Resource Bank®We sell the mouse strain of your choice as a "right to use" that mouse strain. In principle, we will provide breeding pairs of heterozygous mice. There is no expiration date on the usage rights, and after purchase, you are free to reproduce as you wish. However, please refrain from reselling or transferring it to a third party. In addition, if the colony is lost during the process, you can use the frozen embryos backed up by our company (separate fees will be charged if you request frozen embryo transportation or individual restoration). .
