About This Product

■Main features

Electrochemiluminescence (ELC) is a combination of electrochemistry and chemiluminescence. Electrochemiluminescent signals are typically derived from the excited states of luminescent intermediates generated at the electrode surface during electrochemical reactions. Electrogenerated chemiluminescence has been widely applied in food and clinical analysis. ・Space saving & wide range of uses ・Portable system with simple optical configuration ・High sensitivity ・Sync data instantly ・Uses cells that work with screen-printed electrodes ・Software with ELC-specific functions advantage

■Durable, compact, and versatile

In the electrochemiluminescence method, light is generated by applying a voltage or current pulse, and the amount of light emitted by the reaction is analyzed using a bipotentiostat/galvanostat. The light emitted by the reaction is detected by a cell containing a detector (a photodiode or a microspectrometer, depending on the model). The Metrohm DropSense system is compact and portable, making it ideal for electrochemiluminescence (ECL) analysis. The system can also be used as a Metrohm DropSense electrochemical analysis measuring device (bipotentiostat/galvanostat). Depending on the ECL equipment, cells can be combined.

■Responses of electrochemical reactions and chemiluminescence reactions are immediately synchronized

The electrochemical and chemiluminescent responses are fully synchronized and displayed in real time. In addition, Metrohm DropSense devices enable excellent temporal and spatial control even when the sensitivity to optical signals is very low.
