The 2035 Process Analyzer for photometric measurements has a compact photometer module that is stable over a wide concentration range, is temperature adjustable and is equipped with a stirrer. This analyzer has two options to choose from. cuvette system and fiber optic immersion probe. The cuvette system is compact to reduce reagent consumption, yet provides long optical path lengths to maintain high sensitivity. Fiber optic immersion probes have significantly expanded the range of product applications. This is because the internal dilution process and shorter beam path than cuvette systems allow for highly accurate measurements of highly concentrated samples. Photometric analysis is a common and frequently used method that allows the determination of ions such as ammonia, manganese, and iron in drinking water, and even calcium and magnesium in saline water. Unfavorable matrix effects such as pigmentation or turbidity of the sample can be eliminated by measuring the difference before and after adding the coloring reagent.
