Board-type glass wool product with enhanced water repellency
■Main features
・Very low water absorption and excellent water repellency
・A water repellent agent is added to the binder that forms the glass fibers, so it has water repellency not only on the surface of the glass wool but also inside it.
・Application: Filling material for soundproof panels, etc.
■Application to RC external insulation method (dry method)
External insulation methods for reinforced concrete buildings are known to have many advantages. Water repellent board can be applied to RC (dry construction method)
■RC construction method using water-repellent boards (dry construction method)
・Water-repellent boards are glass wool boards with each fiber treated to be water-repellent, making them easier to repel water than regular glass wool. Also, if it gets wet, it will be expelled quickly.
・Glass wool is a legally nonflammable material. In the event of a fire, it is effective in preventing damage from the spread of fire or other fires.
- By adopting the ventilation layer construction method, a ventilation layer is provided between the insulation material and the exterior material, so that even if rainwater enters the wall, it will be discharged through the ventilation layer without becoming trapped. In addition, the ventilation layer suppresses temperature changes caused by solar radiation and allows the release of water vapor generated from the concrete structure.
