■Programmable keyboardA programmable keyboard ideal for POS cash register use. You can assign any string to each key and customize the key layout. By assigning product codes and product classification codes to a single keyboard, it is convenient as an input device for POS cash register systems.

In addition to POS, it can also be used to improve work efficiency. It is an item that can be used for a wide range of purposes depending on your ideas.

■Product overviewPKB-111 is a programmable keyboard exclusively for POS cash registers that allows you to freely assign keys to all 111 keys. Using the 109-key Windows full Japanese keyboard, you can easily assign free character strings, shortcut keys, product JAN codes, operating program codes, etc. using the included utility software.

Each key supports up to 16 layer settings, and you can switch key settings by assigning a layer switching key. There are three types of layer modes: Shift Mode (switches when the switching key is pressed), Lock-on Mode (switches after pressing the switching key), and Alternate Mode (switches after pressing the switching key & returns to default after one input). You can set it as you like depending on the operating situation.

The key switch of PKB-111 is a mechanical type that can be replaced. Uses the MX key switch (black shaft type) manufactured by German company Cherry, which is popular for its high reliability and durability. Its lifespan is over 50 million times. It is a quiet linear stroke type with no click feeling, and the high repulsion feels good on your fingers, and the keys return quickly, making it comfortable even when typing at high speed.

The key top of PKB-111 can be easily removed using the included tool. You can also exchange it for a key that is 2x or 4x the size. In addition, there is a transparent cover on everything other than the number keys, so you can insert a label sheet into it. You can freely design and customize the assigned keys to make them easier to understand.
