About This Product

■Summary

This device is an atmospheric particle collection device developed for the purpose of collecting aerosols (fine particles) floating in the atmosphere. There is also the name "aerosol impactor" derived from the collection method, and those that perform low-pressure suction are also called "low-pressure impactors." A vacuum pump installed inside the device reduces the pressure in the chamber, and the aerosol sucked from the collection port is collected onto a mesh set in a holder by utilizing the characteristics of inertial collision. There are two independent chambers (front chamber and rear chamber) between the collection port and the exhaust port, and the front chamber collects large particles and the rear chamber collects small particles. Each chamber is loaded with 16 (or 24) collection holders, which are synchronously rotated by a DC motor to enable continuous aerosol collection. (Excluding single-shot AS-01S)

■Features

- Three types of main body shapes are available to suit the experimental method and installation location. ・Multiple holders are loaded into the chamber, allowing intermittent sampling. (Excluding single-shot AS-01S) ・The model equipped with a weekly timer (AS-□□W) starts operating at the preset time and automatically collects samples. - Can be controlled from a PC using dedicated software.

- Stationary type with weekly timer for continuous observation (AS-□□W) ・Small and lightweight type intended for installation on flying objects such as unmanned aircraft and balloons (AS-□□L/AS-□□M) ・We have a lineup of 3 types: single acting type (AS-01S). *The number of holders (16 or 24) is entered in □□.

■Additional repair parts

・Mesh holder body & cap: A collection mesh is placed on the body and fixed with a cap to collect aerosol. ・Rotation stage: This is the stage where the mesh holder is loaded. Available in 16/24 pieces
