About This Product

Manual screen changers (MSCs) are the ideal solution to minimize the effort and downtime of periodic screen changes during line outages. The compact design does not require line disassembly, and the screen can be replaced by manually sliding the slide plate using the hand lever or optional ratchet. The heart of a manual screen changer is a pressure-operated sealing system. When replacing the screen, the line is stopped and the pressing force of the seal is weakened, allowing the slide plate to move. When replaced with a new screen and restarted, internal pressure activates the sealing system, pressing the seal firmly against the sliding plate for leak-free, reliable performance. The model size of the manual screen changer supports a discharge rate of up to 930 kg/h and can handle extrusion screws up to 139 mm in diameter. PSI manual screen changers MSC can be custom designed for specific applications and processes, including for higher pressures, with diverters (MSC-DV), and for special materials.
