About This Product

■What is OWLCODE?

OWLCODE is a long-distance radio using 920MHz LPWA (Private LoRa) method. As the name Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) suggests, it allows communication over distances that cannot be reached by WiFi or Bluetooth. It can be used as a specified low-power radio (transmission output of 20mW or less) without a license and does not require communication running costs like mobile phones.

■Long distance communication in km units possible

OWLCODE can realize communication in Km units. Utilizing long-distance communication, it is now possible to monitor areas within the factory premises that were previously impossible to reach. As shown in the figure on the right, in our demonstration experiments, we have achieved communication reach of more than 3 km in urban areas.

■Body design in pursuit of slimness

OWLCODE pursues a slim body design and can fit into the empty space of the control panel where existing sensors are installed. We also have antenna extension cables and weatherproof (outdoor) antennas, so please contact us if you have any concerns about the usage environment.

■Supports flexible wireless settings

User tools allow flexible wireless configuration and check the received signal strength (RSSI) at the deployment location. This will help resolve the issue where wireless communication suddenly stops. Additionally, since error output can be set on both the sending and receiving sides, it is possible to build a system that detects the unlikely event of non-delivery.
