About This Product
Profometer PM8,000 is a rebar probe using electromagnetic pulse guidance technology. A coil within the probe is periodically charged by current pulses, creating a magnetic field. An overcurrent is induced on the surface of an inductive material that is in a magnetic field. As it approaches the reinforcing steel, an overcurrent is generated, inducing the magnetic field in the opposite direction. At this time, the voltage changes, and by detecting this change, the position and cover of the reinforcing bars can be measured.
◼︎PM8,000 generates multiple magnetic fields with different coil arrangements. Advanced signal processing enables the following measurements:
・Identification of reinforcing bar position
・Check for fogging
・Estimation of reinforcing bar diameter
If you also want to find the reinforcing bar diameter, PM8,000 is recommended. PM8,000 uses a measurement method that uses magnetic force, so the object to be probed must be a magnetic material such as reinforcing steel or metal.
