About This Product

■Product introduction

・Kydac is an acrylic-modified high-impact vinyl chloride board that has excellent impact resistance, chemical resistance, and formability. ・This product is made using a method called sheet molding and is transformed into various shapes and is used in many things around us, such as medical equipment, industrial equipment, and vehicle interiors. Features

■Features of sheet molding

Kaidac is a molding material product that can take advantage of the features of sheet molding. It has extremely good formability (molding magnification of 6x) and can improve the design of complex deep-drawn curved surfaces. It is also possible to reduce costs from injection molded products with small lots and a wide variety of products.

■Can also handle large molded products

It is possible to handle large size molding with a length of 2m or more and deep drawing molding. This material is particularly suitable for thin-walled molded products over a wide area (1m x 2m x 2mm wall thickness, etc.).

■Mold reproducibility comparable to injection molding (air pressure molding)

Excellent appearance can be obtained due to good dimensional accuracy such as mold reproducibility of corner parts. It is also possible to improve the design of complex deep-drawn curved surfaces.

■Multi-product, small-lot production possible

Since mold costs are low, production is possible from just one mold. In addition, there is no loss due to resin changes (color changes), and design changes can be easily made.

■No need for surface treatment after molding

■Variation

We have over 30 variations of standard products. Custom colors and sizes are also available.

■Shock resistance

Demonstrates strength equal to or greater than polycarbonate or FRP. Izod impact strength is more than three times stronger than ABS.

■Chemical resistance

Kaidac takes advantage of the characteristics of vinyl chloride resin and has excellent chemical resistance.

■Lightweight

It is approximately 15% lighter than FRP and approximately 50% lighter than aluminum.

■Flame resistance

Kaidac is self-extinguishing (JISK6911 Flame Resistance Method A) and is certified by particularly strict UL standards (UL94, V-0 and 5-V).
