■Mechanism

Unprecedented high rigidity and compact structure: Wave gear mechanism x cyclo reducer tooth profile

■Operating principle

In principle, the ECY series consists of four parts. ・Bearings for eccentric bodies transform curved splines into elliptical shapes. ・The long axis of the curved spline deformed into an ellipse engages with the fixed frame and output frame. ・When the fixed frame is fixed and the eccentric bearing is rotated once clockwise, the curved spline will elastically deform and rotate counterclockwise by the difference in the number of teeth. ・Extract this amount of rotation using the output frame

■Product features

・Compact and high torque: The allowable peak torque is higher than that of a general wave gear device (of the same size), making it possible to downsize the device. ・High rigidity: Since the spring constant is larger than that of a general wave gear device (of the same size), it is possible to increase the strength of the device and reduce vibration. - Ratcheting resistance (safety during overload): A structure that resists ratcheting (misalignment of teeth) achieves high safety against overload. ・Reason for extraordinary strength: High strength is achieved due to a structure different from general wave gear devices. ・High-speed shaft hollow diameter large: The high-speed shaft hollow shaft diameter is large, so it can be effectively used as space for customer cables, shafts, etc. ・Reducing assembly man-hours for customers: The high-speed shaft is supported by a reducer and has a grease-sealed structure, making it easy to attach to equipment and assemble to a motor.

■Application usage example

Used in the drive parts of many small robots, including articulated robots and SCARA robots. ・Small robots: vertically articulated robots, SCARA robots, collaborative robots ・Small manipulator: Joint drive ・Processing machine: spindle, table drive ・Semiconductor manufacturing equipment: CPM equipment ・Retrieval robot
