Product uses and main features

■Applications

- A grout material suitable for filling cavities where water has accumulated. ・It can be used for filling underground cavities where groundwater or rainwater has accumulated, cavities under buildings due to ground subsidence, waste pipes, etc., and backfilling of port and river facilities. - The slurry of the underwater thermocon has excellent fluidity and expands in volume after being poured, so it can drain water and provide high filling performance even in narrow gaps or spaces with complex shapes.

■Features

・Density (unit volume weight) decreases due to expansion, so load can be reduced. ・Easy to re-excavate.

■High liquidity

Submersible Thermocon slurry has high fluidity compared to other underwater grouting materials. Therefore, the frequency of moving the pouring location can be reduced and work efficiency can be improved.

■Expansibility like no other

After injection, the underwater thermo-con expands in volume while draining and filling the water. The video below shows the progress of foaming after injecting an underwater thermo-con into an aquarium filled with water. The water in the tank is drained by pouring and expansion.

■Can be installed in both freshwater and seawater

Underwater thermo-con can be installed in both freshwater and seawater. It is possible to install without draining water or seawater that has accumulated during port/river revetment work or filling voids where water has accumulated. However, it must be standing water. In the case of running water, it is necessary to stop the flow beforehand. *Since the underwater thermo-con has a higher density than water, the volumetric expansion is approximately 1.4 times.

■Less material separation in water

Because there is less material separation in the slurry, pollution of drainage water can be suppressed. Using a tremie tube will further reduce turbidity.

■Can be manufactured using general-purpose equipment

The basic equipment used for manufacturing and placing underwater thermo-con is a specified general-purpose grout mixer and pressure pump. There is also a method of supplying by mixer truck, which can significantly reduce on-site work.
