About This Product

SPILEAD is a tapping screw for thin plates that provides a wide torque difference with low screwing torque and high breaking torque. This torque difference ensures stable fastening, and is effective when there are variations in the pilot hole diameter and plate thickness of the mating material, or when the driver torque is unstable. This contributes to improving customer productivity.

・Stable tapping of thin steel plates from 0.2t to 1.0t ・Promoting the elimination of nuts and burrings ・Used when it is difficult to control pilot holes, driver torque, plate thickness, etc. Product features

■Suitable for variations in conditions such as plate thickness

The wide torque difference between low screw-in torque and high breaking torque creates a margin for fastening, and it can accommodate variations in driver torque, pilot hole diameter, and plate thickness of the mating material, achieving stable fastening.

■Preventing diagonal entry

The tip has a triple thread thread, so it can be stably inserted into the prepared hole of the mating material. This prevents the tapping screw from being screwed diagonally into the thin plate, improving work efficiency.

■Reduced screw-in time

In the case of M4 x 6, it will seat in approximately 1.5 turns, leading to a reduction in fastening work time. In addition, due to its short shape, there is less thread protruding from the mating material, contributing to increased margin in mechanism design.

■Example of screw thread shape M4×6

Although it has a three thread thread shape, only one thread is taller halfway, reducing the screwing torque. Then, near the bottom of the neck, all three threads have the same height, and are assembled into the thin plate at three points, creating a shape that allows for high breaking torque.
