About This Product

TAPTITE 2000R fasteners developed by CONTI/REMINC are especially effective for making tapless fasteners with diameters larger than M6. This is a proven bolt that has been standardized and widely used by many European and American car manufacturers such as Mercedes, Volkswagen, BMW, Renault, Ford, and GM.

■Main uses

・Tapping fastening of steel and light alloy (thread rolling fastening) ・Applications such as automobile parts that are resistant to loosening and require high axial force retention performance ・Tapping fastening with a diameter larger than M6 (thread rolling fastening) ・Applications for preventing chips Product features

■Ombusubi-shaped screw thread

The cross section of the bolt is a circular shape called TrilobularR. This action allows screwing with low torque. Once screwed in, it is difficult to loosen due to the close contact with the mating material and the springback effect.

■Female thread forming by rolling

Female threads are formed by plastic deformation through rolling, rather than by cutting the mating material with a bolt. This leads to suppressing the generation of chips.

■Preventing diagonal entry

The shaft alignment is set so that it goes straight into the prepared hole. Prevents diagonal entry, improves work efficiency and reduces rework costs.

■Wide range of uses

Can be used for threading from aluminum die-casting to steel and magnesium alloys.

■Total cost reduction

Since the internal thread processing process such as tapping and cleaning can be reduced, processing oil, tap fees, and processing costs required for this process can be reduced. This reduces the total cost of installation and reduces the cost of manufacturing the product. In the future, the station required for tapping will no longer be necessary, making it possible to reduce capital investment and make effective use of factory space. In addition, the cost of countermeasures against loosening and diagonal jamming, and the cost of countermeasures against spatter when used on welded nuts can also be reduced.
