About This Product

AluArma PT® is a high-strength aluminum alloy tapping screw developed specifically for resins that can be used to fasten hard resins such as PPS to soft resins such as PP. It is effective not only for weight reduction, but also for reducing the axial force after heat cycle loads due to the fact that the linear expansion coefficient of aluminum is closer to that of resin than that of iron.

■What aluminum can do that iron cannot do

In addition to reducing weight, aluminum fasteners are expected to have many uses that cannot be achieved with steel fasteners, such as preventing a drop in axial force due to changes in the thermal environment due to the coefficient of linear expansion of aluminum being closer to that of resin than iron, and being unaffected by magnetic lines of force. Masu.

■Self-tapping on hard resin materials

This is an aluminum tapping fastener covered with a patented high-strength film like armor. Due to this armor effect, it can be used not only with soft resins such as PP, but also with hard materials such as PPS containing 50% glass fiber without crushing the threads.

■Safe material

Adopts A6056 material, which has a proven track record in European cars. We use materials with a very low risk of stress corrosion cracking, which is something that is often overlooked in the pursuit of high strength. We achieve lightweight, high-strength fastening using safe and secure materials that are already used in automobiles.

■Developed a special shape as an aluminum fastener for resin

If it has the same shape as a steel tapping fastener for resin, it cannot be tapped on hard resin materials, and it will not have the same axial force. AluArma PT® is a one-of-a-kind aluminum self-tapping fastener exclusively for resin, which was developed to have the optimal shape after analyzing the relationship between the mating resin and aluminum materials through numerous tests and research.
