About This Product

EVO PT® is a thread forming screw for plastics that provides almost constant screwing torque regardless of the thread length. It is a solution that eliminates the need to consider the screwing torque for each thread length, and allows simulation of fastening conditions, resin creep, and the effects of temperature on loosening, etc. with EVO CALC®, which significantly reduces the cost and testing period required for adoption.

- Ideal when you want to shorten the heat cycle test required for fastening and the time required to consider screw specifications. - When you want to unify and standardize screws of various lengths into one type. - For fastening work that requires screwing at high speed. ・For use with hard resins such as GF-40. ・When you want to suppress heat generated by the boss during screwing and reduce damage. ・For robotization (automation) of fastening. Product features

■Reduces the review period required for conclusion by 40%.

We do not simply provide self-tapping screws with excellent quality and functionality, but we also provide a completely new solution that can shorten the customer's consideration period for fastening from the typical 8 months to approximately 4.75 months.

■Single type supports many lengths

A special female thread forming part reduces resistance during screwing and forms a female thread with a constant low screwing torque. This shape makes it difficult for the torque to increase depending on the length of engagement with the female thread, and the target torque when tightening can be set very simply regardless of the boss length.

■Excellent fastening performance

The newly developed threaded section provides high pull-out strength, high breaking torque, and high axial force. The tip is designed to fit straight into the pilot hole, making it suitable for automation using robots. The counterbore can also be shortened to about one third of existing products, making it possible to shorten the boss depth. Since the friction during screwing is low, it can be screwed in at high rotation speeds, suppressing heat generation and damaging the resin. It is also suitable for hard resins such as GF-40, and has good reusability.

■Use of dedicated simulator EVO CALC®

When you input the material information, the appropriate pilot hole diameter, screwing torque, failure mode, etc. will be calculated. We also simulate the creep of the resin after fastening and changes in axial force due to temperature changes. We will also offer a paid service that uses CAE to examine the fastening load when using an actual machine for fastening.
