Divide the object to be modeled into modules and describe each module with a mathematical model using EQUATRAN. These modules are connected by streams that transmit information such as flow rate and composition, or by signal lines that exchange data to build an overall model as a process or system.
Process models built in this way can be applied to a variety of simulations, such as real-time calculations to simulate dynamic movements, or steady-state calculations to find the static balance of the entire process.
