About This Product

This product is an isolated PCI bus compatible board that extends RS-422A/485 compliant serial communication functionality to your computer. COM-2PD (PCI) H is equipped with 2 channels of RS-422A/485 compliant COM ports. The bus line with the computer is isolated and the communication port has a built-in surge protection circuit for enhanced noise resistance. Each channel is equipped with a 128-byte FIFO buffer for transmission and reception, and supports baud rates up to 921,600bps. Drivers compatible with Windows/Linux are available. In addition, COM-2PD (PCI) H is an upward compatible product of our company's COM-2PD (PCI), so it can be replaced in an already constructed system. Features

■RS-422A/485 serial communication, supports up to 921,600bps

The COM port of this product supports up to 921,600bps. COM-2PD (PCI) H is equipped with 2 channels of RS-422A/485 compliant COM ports. When using the "Standard COM Driver Software" and "Device Driver COM-DRV (WDM)" provided by our company, the baud rate is 15 - 921,600bps.

■Can be used as a standard COM port for Windows/Linux

By combining it with our device driver COM-DRV, it can be used in the same way as a COM port on a personal computer. It supports communication using DCB structure in Win32 API and Linux standard system calls. We also provide a diagnostic program that allows you to check hardware operation and test communication with equipment.

■Isolates each channel and computer, protects all signal lines from surges

There is electrical isolation between each channel and between computers. It can prevent electrical noise between the computer and external circuits, and also prevent interference between channels. In addition, all signal lines are surge protected, so there is no need to worry about computer malfunction or damage due to surges.

■Up to 16 boards can be added

Up to 16 boards can be installed on one computer. Device manager allows settings from COM1 to COM256. Up to 16 boards of the same model can be installed on one computer.
