About This Product

This product is a PCI bus compatible board that extends RS-232C compliant serial communication functionality to your computer. COM-4CL-PCI is equipped with 4 channels of RS-232C compliant COM ports. Each channel is equipped with a 64-byte FIFO buffer for transmission and reception, and supports baud rates up to 230,400bps. It can be used as an OS standard COM port. Drivers compatible with Windows/Linux are available. Features

■RS-232C serial communication, supports up to 230,400bps

The COM port of this product supports up to 230,400bps. COM-4CL-PCI is equipped with 4 channels of RS-232C compliant COM ports.

■Can be used as a standard COM port for Windows/Linux

By combining it with our device driver COM-DRV, it can be used in the same way as a COM port on a personal computer. It supports communication using DCB structure in Win32 API and Linux standard system calls. We also provide a diagnostic program that allows you to check hardware operation and test communication with equipment.

■Up to 16 boards can be added

It is possible to mount up to 16 boards on one computer.

■Equipped with a buffer memory of 64 bytes for sending and 64 bytes for receiving on each channel.

Each channel is equipped with 64 bytes of buffer memory for sending only and 64 bytes for receiving only. The buffer memory is in FIFO format, which is useful for high-speed communication and reducing the CPU load when transmitting and receiving data.

■RS-232C control line can be controlled and monitored by software

RTS, CTS, DTR, and DSR control lines can be controlled and monitored using software.
