About This Product

For applications requiring high airtightness Sapphire windows are made by bonding metal around a single crystal sapphire. Ideal for ultra-high vacuum viewing ports and for transmitting ultraviolet and infrared rays. Single crystal sapphire and surrounding metal are bonded by metallization. ■Metallization technology is also utilized in the sapphire window. - The sapphire window is airtightly bonded using metallization technology and has excellent heat resistance, airtightness, and reliability. ・Airtightness: 1x10-10Pa・m3/sec ■Excellent heat resistance and airtightness Sapphire windows are airtightly sealed through metallization and have excellent heat resistance and airtightness. It is used in analytical equipment under ultra-high vacuum. ■Sapphire is high purity single crystal alumina Kawaso Texel metallizes using the fused titanium method, and since titanium diffuses into or reacts with ceramics, it is possible to metallize even high-purity alumina. ■Molybdenum manganese metallization method is a metallization technology that utilizes a reaction with glass components, mainly SiO2, contained in ceramics. Alumina ceramics are expressed as 92%, 96%, or 99%, but as the purity increases, the content of SiO2, which is a glass component, decreases.
