About This Product

■Hammer lock (stopper for carts that cannot use casters with stoppers)This is a position holding device that securely grips the road surface by raising the wheels of the trolley slightly above the floor. This product is basically used for custom-made trolleys as it requires processing of the trolley body for installation. Three types are available depending on load conditions. We will improve the workability of caster stoppers. You can lock and release by stepping on the lever with your foot. Also available in SUS.

However, currently there are many models that have caster stoppers, wheel clasps (stopper rubber), or stopper mechanisms attached to the trolley itself, and specifications are limited to those that are custom-made. Hammerlock is a product that was developed at a time when stoppers for trolleys and casters were not widely used.

As of 2022, casters are equipped with stoppers, and commercially available carts have stoppers as an option. Please note that it is recommended to use the Hammerlock in one location only if the front wheel is a fixed caster and the operating side (handle side) is a swivel caster on a custom-made trolley.

Dollys with 4-wheel swivel casters do not have the holding power and cannot be used because they will move.

■How to operate the stopperThe trolley is parked by pressing down on the road surface by operating the foot lever. The foot lever has ``UP'' and ``Down'' positions, and when you step on ``Down'', the rubber plate comes into contact with the road surface and presses down. When you step on "UP", it will be released and the rubber plate will rise.

■About installing the stopperWhen installing a hammerlock, it must be placed at the appropriate mounting height as shown in the specification table. Depending on the height of the caster installation, it is necessary to install an adjustment pedestal under the cart loading platform as shown in the figure on the right.

■NotesIn areas with steps, the lower surface of the floor lock is located at a slight height from the floor, so there is a possibility of interference. Please consider your work environment before using. When installing, please install it between the swivel casters. Please strictly adhere to the appropriate installation height. Never use it in place of a jack. It is not intended for lifting. It cannot be used to secure workbenches or steps. Not suitable for sloped areas.
