About This Product

Normal lenses have a semicircular shape or a triangular pyramid shape for collimating lenses, which increases the thickness of the lens, but Fresnel lenses process minute shapes (basically 50 microns at our company) onto a flat surface. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture lenses with a thickness starting from 0.5 mm.

For example, with a collimating lens that covers an LED, the distance from the LED board to the surface of the lens is about 10 mm, but with a Fresnel lens, if you install a 1 mm thick Fresnel lens about 3 mm away from the LED, the total distance is 4 mm. , light can be focused in less than half the space of a collimating lens.

With a collimating lens, the mounting position is fixed, so the focusing angle is also fixed, but with a Fresnel lens, the distance and position between the LED and the lens can be changed freely, so the focusing angle can also be changed freely. By shifting the center position, you can bend the light diagonally.

In addition, for products with multiple LEDs lined up or for line lighting, with normal lenses it is necessary to attach one lens to each LED, but with our Fresnel lens for LEDs, all lenses are mounted on one acrylic plate. , all LEDs can be focused by attaching one acrylic plate to the product.

Normally, Fresnel lenses have concentric grooves, giving them an unpleasant appearance, but our Fresnel lenses have very fine grooves of 50 microns, so you can't tell that there are grooves on the surface. The product looks very beautiful. Another advantage is that dust and dirt in the atmosphere are less likely to enter the grooves.
