About This Product

Optical probes are E/O-O/E converters that utilize electro-optic effects. The optical probe head, which is an E/O converter, is ultra-compact and does not require a power supply, and can also receive power at high impedance. Additionally, since the transmission line is electrically isolated using only optical fiber, it is possible to perform measurements with the measuring instrument and ground separated. It is used for various purposes such as evaluating small antennas, current probes, and differential voltage probes for oscilloscopes.

■Optical probe head

・Ultra-small probe head can convert voltage signals to light without requiring a power source ・Because the transmission line is an optical fiber, the measuring instrument and ground can be separated without being affected by noise. ・A wealth of measurable information (frequency, intensity, phase) ・Measurement in time domain is also possible (oscilloscope, real-time spectrum analyzer) ・High impedance power reception is also possible
