About This Product

Optical electric field sensors are electric field probes that measure light using electro-optical effects. The sensor head does not require a power supply and is made of non-metallic material, and the transmission line is electrically isolated using only optical fibers, making it possible to accurately measure electric fields by separating the measuring instrument from the ground. It is used for a variety of purposes, including verifying simulation models in EMC design, measuring radar pulse electric fields, measuring ultra-strong electric fields from HEMP (HPEM) and microwave ovens, and measuring electric fields in narrow spaces.

■Basic configuration of optical electric field sensor

・Sensor head made of optical crystal does not disturb the electric field ・Because the transmission line is an optical fiber, the measuring instrument and ground can be separated without being affected by noise. ・A wealth of measurable information (frequency, intensity, phase) ・Measurement in time domain is also possible (oscilloscope, real-time spectrum analyzer) ・Super strong electric field measurement is also possible
