About This Product

BYK process additives are used in various plastics fields. This additive has excellent effects on improving a wide range of processing conditions and the performance of final products. For example: VOC and odor reduction Improved mechanical strength Stabilization of mixed feedstocks (e.g. emulsions) Improved flowability Improved emission removal A wax-based powder process additive that is compatible with pigments for powder coatings. Improves pigment and filler dispersion and processing, leveling and degassing. Product data

■Storage and transportation

It is easily affected by temperature. Store and transport at temperatures below 50℃.

■Features

Adding pigment affinity improves the dispersibility of solid particles, making it possible to mix fillers and pigments at high concentrations. The leveling performance (image clarity) is improved, and by using this product, the degassing performance of powder coatings, especially with HAA-based paints, will be improved.

■Recommended addition amount

0.5-2% Please use the recommended addition amount as an initial value as an additive for all formulations. Please conduct an actual test to determine the optimum amount to add.

■Addition method

Mix this additive with the resin, hardener, pigment, and other ingredients in a high-speed mixer before extruding. Good dispersion of additives in the extruder improves the gloss and leveling of powder coatings and prevents cissing, fisheyes, and blisters.

■Special notes

This process additive must only be used with standard leveling additives.
