About This Product

■Features

BYK-011 is suitable for defoaming for water-based (and UV-curable) paints. This additive is silicone-free and mineral oil-free. This additive is particularly suitable for water-based two-component polyurethane systems and prevents foam formation when hardeners are added. BYK-011 is also suitable for clear coating and can be used for defoaming of ultrafiltrate.

■Recommended addition amount

For water-based 2-component polyurethane systems, 1-2.5% additive to the total formulation. For other water-based paints, 0.1-1.5% as an additive to the total formulation. Please use the addition amount as the initial value. Please conduct actual tests to determine the optimum amount to add.

■Addition method

This antifoaming agent can be easily added without paying special attention to dispersion. Can be added to letdown or millbase.

■Features

BYK-011 is a silicon-free antifoam agent for care products and cleaning products. It exhibits excellent antifoaming properties during the manufacturing process, and its effects persist even after application.

■Recommended addition amount

Please apply 0.3-1% addition amount as an additive to all formulations as an initial value. Please conduct actual tests to determine the optimum amount to add.

■Addition method

This additive is most effective when added at the time of formulation, but it can be added at any stage of manufacturing.
