About This Product

BYK's wetting and dispersing agents finely and uniformly disperse solid particles in liquids, resulting in long-term system stability. Additives stabilize pigments (inorganic, organic and bright pigments) and fillers. The liquid phase consists of water and various organic solvents of different polarity. Wetting agents act as surfactants and improve the wettability of paint films. Dispersants prevent particle agglomeration through mechanisms of action such as electrical repulsion and steric hindrance. A single wetting and dispersing agent functions effectively by combining the mechanisms of both wettability improvement and stabilization. A controlled agglomeration wetting and dispersing agent for medium to low polarity solvent-based thick film and primer applications. Prevents sedimentation of fillers and inorganic pigments and gels bentonite. North American market only
