About This Product

■Summary

・Color evaluation, inspection lighting ・Correlated color temperature 6,500±500[k] ・Irradiation light source using LED with Ra=97, which approximates sunlight ・High illuminance 100,000 [lx] (10 cm from the light emitting part) ・Addition of white diffuser plate (optional) ・Add filter (optional)

■What kind of light is necessary for sheet metal painting? ~Simulated sunlight~

``The light must be close to sunlight'' is a major factor. Have you ever tried to match the color to the surrounding area in the paint booth, but when you take it outside, the color is different? That's because the light in a paint booth is different from sunlight. Light that has certain characteristics similar to sunlight is called "pseudo sunlight," but what kind of light is similar to sunlight in terms of color, brightness, and warmth? What is the use of simulated sunlight? ・Color evaluation, scratch inspection, gloss inspection of cloth and jewelry, etc. ・It is also used to illuminate environments that cannot be exposed to outside light, such as basements, submarines, and hospitals (with the hope of improving biorhythm and promoting health).

■Correlated color temperature is 6,500K

Think of correlated color temperature as a numerical representation of the color change of basic white sunlight from morning to evening. (If you want to know more, search the web for "black body radiation.") The lower the number, the red Flavorful white (sun in the evening or early morning) - If the number is high, it will be white with a bluish tinge (sky color). In the photography and printing industries, there are recommended standards for manuscript viewing, and 5,000K or 5,500K is used because it is assumed to be indoors. For other evaluations, many industries use 6,500K (called Illuminant D65 by the International Institute of Illumination), which assumes outdoor sunlight. The automobile industry is one of them. When measuring and judging color using a measuring device, it is possible to measure by adding a correction to the measuring device, whether it is 5,000K or 6,500K, but in cases such as sheet metal painting where the operator's eyes are important. You also need to pay attention to lighting.
