About This Product

■Applications

Ultra-strong rare earth magnet separates and removes weakly magnetic stainless steel mixed in all kinds of powder and granules such as wood chips, mining, ceramics, food fields, etc.

■What is weakly magnetic stainless steel?

When non-magnetic stainless steel (austenitic) is subjected to impact, friction, or some kind of shock in a crusher or grinder, it undergoes plastic deformation (a state in which it deforms when an external force is applied to it and remains in the same shape even after the external force is removed). Becomes magnetic, albeit weakly

■Principle

Weakly magnetic stainless steel, which does not have enough magnetism to be attracted to standard magnetic pulleys or magnetic drums, is attracted by the strong magnetic force of the built-in rare earth magnet, changing its falling trajectory. By installing a branch plate according to the falling trajectory, it is possible to sort weakly magnetic stainless steel.

■Pre-process treatment (iron removal, drying) is required

It is necessary to sufficiently remove iron in the process before feeding it into the machine (quantity supply). If iron pieces are mixed in with the material, the iron pieces will stay in the magnet area, causing damage to the conveyor belt or drum shell. To prevent this, please be sure to remove iron using a hanging magnetic separator, drum magnetic separator, etc. before adding it. Also, if the input material is wet, the sorting efficiency will be significantly reduced, so please input it in a sufficiently dry state.
