Introducing GASEXIT, a degassing insert that is effective in preventing molding defects in injection molding. In addition to preventing molding defects, it also contributes to extending the mold maintenance cycle and increasing the number of mold durability shots. We sell this product as an agent for KOEI TOOL Co., Ltd., the manufacturer of GASEXIT.
■Do you have any of these problems?
Molding defects caused by gas cannot be resolved. Defects caused mainly by gas, such as discoloration, cloudiness, silver streaks, short shots, sink marks, and gas burrs, cannot be improved with normal degassing methods, so we want to solve molding defects with parts that have a high degassing effect.
The gas vent hole is clogged. When you first start using it, it has a gas venting effect, but the holes get clogged after a few hundred to several thousand shots, and the gas vent parts require frequent maintenance, so I want something that doesn't clog the gas vent holes.
The mold maintenance cycle and the number of durable shots are short. We perform mold maintenance to prevent gas defects and mold corrosion due to gas, but maintenance costs are high, so we would like to extend the maintenance cycle to reduce costs.
■Achieves a through-vent structure that prevents clogging.
The hole size is Φ0.05±0.03 (hole pitch 0.2mm), and the through holes are so minute that even thinner cannot penetrate, making it extremely difficult for resin to flow through. (Patent No. 6703689) However, since the gas can be properly discharged, it has achieved the optimal balance as a gas venting member for injection molding.
■Use of metal 3D printer technology
Since it is manufactured using a metal 3D printer, it is possible to produce gas vent nests of various shapes. The surface hardness of the degassing part is HRC44 after quenching, so it has excellent wear resistance. (Surface hardness can be increased to HRC70 by nitriding)
Gas venting parts made of micro-porous material provide a solution to molding defects. It has the perfect balance as a vent that prevents resin from flowing in and allows gas to pass through.
