About This Product

■New coating that is resistant to erosion and welding

This is a new coating "MARC-D" whose effectiveness has been proven in erosion tests. Melting loss is damage caused by lowering the melting point due to alloying of the parts in contact with the molten metal. The dual structure of coating MARC-D + nitride diffusion layer prevents contact with molten metal and delays erosion, resulting in improved erosion resistance. By incorporating nitriding treatment in the pre-process of PVD coating, the difference in hardness between the coating and the base material is reduced and compressive stress is alleviated. As a result, the adhesion of the film is improved. The film is ultra-dense and has excellent adhesion resistance and mold release properties, and even thin films have improved erosion resistance, so there is no dimensional change compared to thick film coated products. The coefficient of friction is also lower than that of TiN film, TiAlN film, and AlCrN film. This product can help reduce mold maintenance man-hours for customers who are having trouble with erosion and welding. Please try it once.

■Improved erosion resistance

In an erosion test (no rotation), eight types of samples, including MARC-D plus, were immersed in molten metal, and compared to other samples, MARC-D plus was overwhelmingly free from erosion. I left it. In an erosion acceleration test (with rotation) using 3 types of samples and 1 type of untreated product, MARC-D plus was found to be the least susceptible to erosion.

■Reducing amount of welding

The amount of aluminum welded is the least. The results showed that MARC-D plus had the least amount of welding.

■Improved heat check resistance

In the heat check test, no heat check was observed on the surface of the specimen. Heat check test conditions: 700℃ x 1,000 cycles, surface observation using a stereomicroscope, observation times performed every 250, 500, 750, and 1,000 times
