About This Product

■Silica gel HL, HLF (organic binder)

The toughest silica gel TLC plate. In addition to being easy to handle and apply samples, the adhesive will not leach out even when using developing solvents with up to 80% water. Plates with organic binders are recommended for almost all TLC applications, but should be avoided when strong carbonization is required. The hard layer silica gel UNIPLATES™ is a successor type of TLC that uses new adhesion technology. Using high-performance silica gel with a small average particle size and narrow particle size distribution, it allows separations 25% to 30% faster than other TLC plates. Separated spots are more compact and have higher resolution, allowing visual detection even at low sample levels. There are two types of hard layers: HL and HLF types that use organic binders, and GHL and GHLF types that use inorganic binders, but the difference in binder has almost no effect on the analytical performance of the adsorbent.
