About This Product

■For extraction, concentration, and cleanup of proteins, peptides, and other biosamples

This SPE column uses the same packing material as the Vydac® 300Å TP reversed-phase HPLC column series. Achieves selectivity and recovery similar to C18 and C4 columns for chromatographic analysis. This SPE column is ideal for HPLC purification and pretreatment for biomolecule analysis.

・Phase C18 ・Base material silica ・Particle size 13μm ・Pore diameter 300Å ・Surface area 100㎡/g ・Carbon content 8% ・With end cap ・Column size 1mL ・Filled amount 50mg ・Polypeptide adsorption capacity 0.5-0.75mg

■Application example

・Desalting of polypeptide solution ・Concentration of proteins and polypeptides ・Removal of HF restriction enzyme and cleavage site from cleavage solution ・Removal of lipids and proteins with strong binding strength ・Removal of byproducts and reagents that elute before and after the target peak (Improve HPLC resolution by removing them before analysis) ・Pretreatment of environmental samples and food samples

■Example of analysis using BioSelect: Extraction of ribonuclease (RNA degrading enzyme) and myoglobin

・Sample pretreatment: Add 1 mL of 30% acetonitrile/0.1% trifluoroacetic acid to 100 mg each of ribonuclease (RNA degrading enzyme) and myoglobin. ・Conditioning: (When using a 3mL column) Wash with 1mL of acetonitrile, followed by 1mL of 5% acetonitrile/0.1% trifluoroacetic acid. ・Sample load: Load the preprocessed sample. ・Washing: Wash with 1 mL of 5% acetonitrile/0.1% trifluoroacetic acid - (Chromatogram A) Only a small amount of ribonuclease was eluted - ・Elution: Elute the ribonuclease with 1 mL of 30% acetonitrile/0.1% trifluoroacetic acid - (Chromatogram B) Almost all of the ribonuclease is eluted - Next, elute myoglobin with 1 mL of 60% acetonitrile/0.1% trifluoroacetic acid - (Chromatogram C) Almost all myoglobin is eluted.
