This is a solid type of old brick obtained when demolishing a building in England that was built about 150 years ago.
Speaking of old British bricks, this is the product. It has been more than 25 years since it was introduced to Japan, but it remains the most popular product. They are larger than Japanese bricks, and when piled up they create an overwhelming sense of volume, giving it a real feel. (There is also a story that the size of a brick is determined by the size of the bricklayer's hands in that country.)
