About This Product

■Structural analysis program using SPH particle method

Since the SPH particle method is a meshless analysis, it is extremely easy to generate complex shape data. Furthermore, since mesh failure does not occur, it is possible to analyze even extremely large deformations. Even when expressing crack growth, such as the destruction process of a structure, the shape of the crack can be defined using particles (evaluation points) in the structure, and the crack growth can be modeled by the movement of particles. You can expect efficient behavior analysis.

■Basic concept of SPH particle method

The SPH particle method is a mesh-free analysis method that does not require elements in FEM or grids in FDM. The original continuum is discretized and regarded as particles, that is, collections of microscopic material elements with mass and dimensions, and the forces and thermal changes applied to the original continuum are calculated by the interaction of forces acting between particles. or heat conduction. The behavior of the particle of interest (evaluation point) is subjected to a mathematical operation (Kernel integration*) of surface interpolation/spherical interpolation using the physical quantities of other particles within the radius of influence, and finally it is made continuous again. By using field approximation (Smoothing), we can simulate (analyze) the deformation, stress distribution, heat conduction, etc. of a continuum. Interpolation of physical quantities using a kernel function (weighting function) The Eulerian method, which fixes a grid in space and is used in FEM and FDM, is suitable for analyzes that handle motion over a wide range such as fluid analysis, but it There are problems in that it is not possible to trace the history of each part, and it is difficult to ensure the accuracy of the advection term. The SPH particle method is an excellent analysis technique that can compensate for the problems mentioned above by describing the various motions of a continuum using a Lagrangian method that tracks each part of the continuum over time.
