About This Product

An electroplated whetstone has a plating layer formed on the surface of the base metal (blank), and diamond abrasive grains or cBN abrasive grains are fixed to that part. It is characterized by a high concentration of abrasive grains and a large amount of abrasive grain protrusion, resulting in excellent sharpness and shape retention. Additionally, since it is electrodeposited directly onto the base metal, it can be applied to complex shapes. Furthermore, if the base metal is not damaged, it is possible to re-electrodeposit using the base metal. Commonly used grinding objects are: ・Diamond electrodeposited grindstone: ceramics, glass, sapphire, quartz, cermet, ferrite, etc. ・CBN electrodeposited grindstone: SK (carbon steel), high speed steel, die steel, chrome steel, etc.
