About This Product
■What is organic EL display (OLED)?
This is a self-luminous display product that uses organic EL materials that emit light when electricity is passed through them. We sell small passive organic EL displays for industrial use.
Comparison between passive OLED and passive LCD
■OLED is recommended in the following conditions where LCD is assumed to be insufficient in performance.
-Easy to see from any angle
・High contrast display
・Thin and lightweight design
・Visibility does not change even at low temperatures (below 0℃) and high temperatures (above 40℃). (The visibility of the LCD changes depending on the environmental temperature)
■Character type OLED module
This is a single-color emitting OLED module that consists of one half-width alphanumeric, kana, and symbol character (font) in a 5 x 7 dot matrix, and can display the number of characters (horizontal) x number of lines (vertical). Font data is built into the ROM, and can be easily displayed by specifying the character code and coordinates. Fonts that are not in the ROM can also be displayed by registering external characters. We also have products that are compatible in appearance and interface with some LCD modules.
