About This Product

■Main features

・Lightweight, flexible, broadband, open-cell foamed polyurethane absorbent ・Multi-layered polyurethane sheet impregnated with carbon ・Frequency range is 600MHz to 40GHz ・Reflection coefficient is -20dB compared to metal plate at normal incident angle and in the band above the specified frequency. ・Bacterial resistance according to MIL-STD-810E ・Can be easily cut with a band saw, scissors, or knife

■Main uses

・Used for lining small darkrooms to reduce reflections ・Reducing crosstalk between adjacent antennas, improving antenna pattern and suppressing backlobe, selectively covering part of the target during RCS measurement ・Absorbent blanket to cover antenna posts and supports in the anechoic chamber, and to protect the human body during radar system tests ・Reduced interference between components and antennas due to insertion loss (no need for metal plate lining)

■Environmental resistance characteristics

・It is not water resistant and does not exhibit normal characteristics when wet. However, even if it gets wet, the impregnated carbon will not flow out, so it will function normally after drying. ・Special coating agent CERSEAL to prevent moisture absorption under high humidity to normal humidity environments is also available upon request. ・For applications that require waterproofing, ANW or AN covered with CERSEAL is recommended.

■Dimensions/Type

・Standard dimensions are 61cm x 61cm ・Thickness varies depending on the lower limit frequency of the desired operating frequency band ・Can be supplied with non-standard dimensions, specific shapes, diagonally cut, or already attached to metal parts ・Custom-made products such as three-dimensional curved shapes wrapped around a core are also available.

■How to use

・In order to reduce reflection, it is necessary to attach it to a metal surface. If no metal surface is available, aluminum foil lined AN can also be supplied. ・If you layer it in several layers or slice it to make it thinner, the overall characteristics will deteriorate. ・Characteristics deteriorate at bistatic angles that deviate from normal or normal incidence angles and at different polarization planes. ・Easy to adhere absorbers to each other or to metal, wood, general plastic composite materials, etc. Recommended adhesive is ECCOSTOCK 13-111-NF
