About This Product

■Summary

E&C CV is a high quality broadband microwave absorber. The base material is moderately flexible polyurethane foam, and the surface is convoluted (shaped like an egg box). There are three types with different thicknesses and different lower frequencies. The surface is rounded and convoluted, with no sharp corners or points, making it particularly suitable for applications in the millimeter wave band and at wide oblique incidence angles. There is no performance deterioration at incident angles up to 60°.

■Dimensions/Type

The standard dimensions of E&C CV are 61cm x 61cm, and the thickness of the three types is 7cm, 10cm, and 15cm respectively. The lower limit frequency for a certain characteristic is determined by the thickness, but the performance in the millimeter wave band is the same for all types. The surface is painted white. The standard color for anechoic chamber use is blue unless otherwise specified. If the main application is in the millimeter wave band, we recommend specifying an unpainted product as paint may have a negative effect on absorption performance.

■How to use

We recommend E&C Adhesive 13111, a contact adhesive. Easily adheres to metal, wood, and common plastic and plastic composite surfaces. Brush or spray coat both the back of the absorber and the surface of the object to be bonded, wait 3 to 5 minutes until it becomes sticky, then stick both sides together and apply light pressure. Leave it overnight until the volatile matter is gone and it is completely cured.
